The Problem with Magic
“Why do we bother with magic?” Francis asked, picking crumbs from between his toes. “I could just walk.”
His ancient tutor cradled the frog. “Magic can save your life. You must be prepared when the moment calls, hang the consequences.” His eyes narrowed. “Give this frog the head of a lion.”
Both tutor and frog disappeared into the sudden chasm, a squeaking roar trailing behind them.
